Tyr, the god of war, Odin’s son, Thor’s half brother.

When the Gods tried to deceive the wolf Fenrir, the great creature knew. Fenrir said he would only agree to let them bind him if Tyr placed his hand in the wolf’s mouth. Once bound and unable to escape, he bit down and took the hand of the god.
