Sol is the Goddess of the sun. She drives the chariot that pulls the sun through the sky as it’s pursued by the evil wolf, Skoll, who seeks to destroy it.
During Ragnarök, Sköll finally catches her, but Sol’s light continues through her daughter, who takes her place and carries the sun into the renewed world.
