The Sailor Slippers are one of the most fun felted projects we've made... so fun, in fact, we can’t stop knitting them. Designed by Annie Germain (@anniesews_), this classic pattern is designed to be knit in bulky yarn, but we’ve reimagined it using our favorite non-superwash Nornir DK held double.
Nornir DK is made from American-grown, American-milled wool and is one of our favorite bases. Our most recent mill batch has slight spinning inconsistencies, subtle thick-and-thin variation that is still absolutely perfect for knitting. Once felted, these variations completely blend into the finished fabric, making it an ideal yarn choice for this project. These skeins have already been discounted and these kits are valued at over 50% off the regular price.
These kits are limited and ready to ship, using in-stock yarn that includes some older and one-of-a-kind colorways.
Each kit includes:

Three full 100g skeins in Colors A, B, and D

One 25g mini cake in Color C for the accent i-cord

Hold yarn double throughout

Use US 11 needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)

We recommend using Color B—rather than Color D—for seaming. The mattress stitch will be completely hidden after felting and this ensures you’ll have enough yarn to complete the slippers.
