Lichen, a symbiotic growth of algae and fungus, comes in a multitude of colors. This especially bright version is Xanthoria parietina (Yellow wall). It's bright yellow hue, with just a slight undertone of green chlorophyll adds a bit of sunshine to the overcast rocky coasts of Ireland.
